What don't I do? I am an

ENGINEER~ fixing, readjusting or manipulating anything and everything in the room, usually bed and/or call light, plus our own computers

WAITRESS~ serving water, juice, food, and supplies MODEL~ have to make sure that camera is properly adjusted first by taking pics of self to make sure it works well for the decubs we have to take pics of

TEACHER~ always teaching patients or other RN's about new products

INTERIOR DESIGNER/MAGICIAN ~ must somehow fit 1 bed, cot, 2 chairs, dresser,tv, 15 people and couch in a room, not to mention the unimportant things like IV pole, side table, dressing supplies, and orthopedic supplies ie walker, commode, and CPM machine, AND still have enough room to walk from the door to the bathroom without anything in the way.

MATHEMATICIAN~ constantly crunching numbers to be sure they are the correct dosages

HIEROGLYPHICS DECODER~ have u seen the chicken
scratch Doctors call "orders"?

MEDIATOR~ for some reason doctors cannot call each other

OFFICE CLERK~ pulling orders, making phone calls,
paper-pushing

DETECTIVE~ figuring out who has the narc keys!

DRUG DEALER~ pain meds! pain meds! pain meds!!! & i've been personally paid~ but i have a license, so it's ok :)
I inflect pain and make them believe it's good for them
.. oh yea and somewhere in between I find time to be compassionate & spend time with my patients.
